To all oblivion players help needed please

I got turned into a vampire recently on oblivon and im at the part in the quest where i need 5 grand soul gems. So far I have 1 which i bought from the mages guild in anvil but I was wondering is there any other places to get them.

Easier way: (duplication)

Items needed:

1 bow

5+ arrows

1 item (any non-unique item) [in this case, grand soul gem]

Steps:

1. Equip bow and arrows

2. Draw bow back like you're going to shoot, but don't

3. Hit B to go to the inventory

4. Hit x on your arrows, nothing will happen. Don't worry about it.

5. Scroll to the item you wish to duplicate

6. Hit X twice, and exit the menu.

You will have as many soul gems as you had arrows equiped.


An alternative way is, if you have the vampire cave DLC, just go there and use the fountain of renewal, or feed on your prisoner

Ive jsut gathered up the last ingredient (the ashes of the powerful vampire) and found quite a few good items in the cave. Just waiting for her to brew the potion.

Hmm this quest keeps getting worse I saw the count for my reward after waiting for 24 hours and he wont give it me. pfft.

If you didn't want to dupe, you could always thieve them from the Mage's guilds...

Done it now and that duplicating glitch doesnt work but theres an easier one using scrolls:

1. Buy a stack of at least 2 scrolls

2.Highlight them and tap A twice (no message will come up)

3.Select an item in your inventory you want to duplicate and drop it

4.Close your inventory and the copies of the item will be on the floor

I had lots of fun with this and I just ended up duplicating 1200 orcish cuirasses and im still trying to sell them all at the moment! lmao helps raise mercantile though (the most pointless skill ever!)

They made an update to get rid of the arrow one.

Ive never used it so it doesnt really bother me to be honest, anyway the scroll method works fine but I dont think you can duplicate arrows using it which sucks.

The arrow way just looked really cool. Especially with healing potions. They shoot out in a wave.

Well when I cloned the cuirasses they just shot out in a circle and literally covered all of a fighting chance. The woman who you buy/sell too must have thought wft? whats with all these cuirasses

Yeah. Its a great glitch. I launched shoes and pants at homeless people. The game actually started lagging.

Yeah mine did too I know have another problem lol wne to buy a house in skingrad off some orc and for some reason he jumped of the bridge to the castle and killed himself

One guy was playing and this random orc started following him. He killed him to make him go away, but the next time he slept, the guy was standing next to him with no armor on. He then had a nude Orc chasing him around. To get him to go away, he had to go into an oblivion gate, close it and get out before the orc did.

Wtf lol this game is wierd sometimes and now I cant purchase the best house in the game thanks to the stupid orc dying. All that duplicating for nought lmao.

Load an old save?

Yes the thing is I dont know when the orc died I just found his dead body when i followed the marker and it was underneath the bridge. Could have happened any time I visited skingrad lol. But anyway ive just purchased 1 at cheydinal and its pretty nice so ya know .

Do these tricks work on the 360?

Yep thats what I play it on but tomorrow im picking it up for the PC and I cant wait, means I can get shivering isles and kinghts of nine (my mom wont let me get microsoft points)

Yes, they work on 360. If you have the PC version, you can literally do whatever you want as long as you know the console command.

I was wondering why arrow trick wouldn't work but someone explained earlier. The weirdest thing to ever happen to me was not being able to finish main story line. I was a vampire did the quest to get potion and when I was in cave with count of what I believe is skingrad (the vampire count) and he was talking to me and all of a sudden he froze. Everyone down there just stood there. I couldnt talk to them and when I attacked the yelled but mouth didnt move and neither did they. The gaurds would still attack me also. I had to start a new game and it kinda sucked.

Ohhh, thats gotta suck. Keep more than one save file.

It happened a long time ago. Yeah I learned from that. I've already beat the main story line and recently been playin with the Shivering Isles.

I beat the game too, but the only guild I fully beat was the fighter's guild.
