Gamer Girls!

Ok.... So being a gamer girl I get a lot of crap from guys. I don't understand it. I always read/hear while playing "dude we need some chicks in here" & "Gamer girls are awesome" ECT... yet when we*being girls* play... all we get are trash talking pervy guys harassing us. It's like I JUST WANT TO PLAY HALO(it's on all games I've played live...Halo just seems to be the worst). I don't want to be your girlfriend, I don't want to hear that I sound hot, I don't want to hear your crude comments. I realize that there aren't a lot of girl gamers and you have to expect a little bit of the crudeness.... but it got to the point that I quit playing. It just takes all the fun out of it. Soooo basically I was just wondering why in the world if you want girls to game...do you harass them to the point that they don't want to play? Neutral

Thats sad to hear that you are treated this way. You might want to make a group on bungie just for girl gamers so you can get together and not have to worry about abuse from the male side.

I think it is easier to harass a girl behind a mic then to step up in face to face and harass her. Don't forget alot of those people are young guys who have something to prove that they are the top. Other than that it is a mystery.

Because most of them don't know how to handle girls, and thus, are aggressive. If I see a girl, I'm like w/e, but if they start being an attention whore, then they're retarded.

Eh I think that's why I don't have very many gamer girl friends...all the ones I play against are kind of "OMG look at me I'm so cool..tee hee I'm a girl blah blah blah"....they give all the rest of us a bad name... it sucks. I just wish that more guys were like w/e.

Another thing. It's annoying when guys are sending girls friend requests even though they don't even know them. I mean seriously, the chances of getting laid with a girl on Xbox Live (which most guys on Xbox Live want) are like 1,000,000 to 1. So seriously, why even bother?

There aren't many girls on Live. Guys usually don't get the opportunity to talk to girls annonymously (sp), and when they get the chance to, they go crazy. It is also based on the fact that most of the guys will make fun of anyone different from them, and girls are different. If they can find a reason to make fun of someone, they will.

Well, they will make fun of anyone that they can tell has a different voice. This includes young kids, people from foreign countries with different accents, gheys, and girls. It sucks, but it happens.
